woohoo! after one year and three and a half months, i can finally officially drive on the road now! the nissan which has been rotting in my garage on weekdays is MINE now!!! wahaha!

but first, let me tell you all the WHOLE STORY. yesterday morning, was an especially traumatic time. i woke up with butterflies in my stomach, only to find the sky all dark and cloudy. and so i kept praying, "Lord, Lord, please please don't let it rain!" But on my way to BBDC, the rain started pouring down! wahhhh panic! During my warm-up, the rain was sooo heavy i couldn't see anything at all! And then i thought to myself, I'm gonna give up. Give up on the test and give up on myself since i'm never going to pass in such heavy rain anyway.

but when the test started, the rain was lighter, and visibility a bit better! and somehow, i managed to brace myself for my THIRD test, shake off all anxiety and just drive the way i usually drive! oh man i felt like giving the tester a kiss when he told me that i passed!!!haha!

when i walked out of BBDC, i felt like i was coming out of jail or something haha. it was like -- wahhh i'm out of that place forever and i never have to enter that horrible building ever again!!! and i can stop renewing my PDL; delete the BBDC website from my internet favourites; say goodbye to irritating instructors who keep asking me to sing for them just because my name is LI WEN like the mandarin pop singer; taking long long bus rides to BBDC and back.....the list goes on.

but what i really want to say, is that i really felt God's presence throughout this trying time. after failing twice, i really really wanted to pass this time and as a result, i put so much pressure on myself! the worst part was when nervousness overwhelmed me when it started to rain heavily, and usually i would have confided in someone close to me (maybe BJ! haha). but this time, i didn't. somehow, i just felt i had to rely on God and God alone. so, i talked to Him amidst all the things that were happening to me, and i could find comfort and peace in Him :)

yup, so, i will really really try to start driving on my own soon! but first, i have to pass my dad's 'test' heheh. looking forward to seeing you girls again soon!!!

love,
liwen :D
